We found out last night from ancestry.com that my husband is 63% Irish, and yesterday also happened to be the day I take my daughter’s monthly photos. So we are showing some Irish pride in them for her!

My daughter is growing up SO FAST.

Now that it is confirmed that my husband is over half Irish, he is extremely happy. We knew his mom was Irish but his dad was adopted. So we didn’t know if he was as well. He took an ancestry test as well πŸ˜‰ I am going to take one this year and see what I am – I have an idea because my mother took a test a few years ago, but my father is “German” so I want to see how mixed mine will be since my mother is Hispanic and a bunch of other things.

If I do mine I will share it with you all. I just don’t feel like spending the month this month on one.

  1. Your daughter is soooo cute 😍 and is growing so fast too!
Glad to hear that now your husband has got is test done… I’d love to know more about yours as well when ready!
Now you make me curious about my ancestry.

    Thanks for sharing πŸ™‚

    • Thank you. I am really excited to see my husband’s results, since his father was adopted, we even have some “first cousin” matches…which he is trying to figure out if he wants to see who they are since it might open doors to his biological grandparents.

As for me, I am not looking for any family, but I would like to know what I am. My mother found out she has some Jewish heritage, very small, but we didn’t expect that. I want to see HOW much German I have in me, as well as native american since those are both big topics people talk about with in my family but no one has the numbers. πŸ™‚

The kits go on sale all the time so it can be pretty affordable. I just have some bills to pay off this month before I decide to get a kit for myself.

Thank you for the comment πŸ™‚

      • How much is the kit on sale? I’m really really curious now and would love to try it!!

Jewish, German and Native American… that’s quite of an interesting mix πŸ˜€ good luck with the results!
